Known issues and limitations
The following sections group known issues and limitations in ReadyAPI 4.0.0 by feature area. Some issues include workarounds or planned fixes in upcoming releases.
Authentication and authorization issues
This table lists known issues related to authentication and authorization.
Topic | Issue | Remediation | Target release |
|---|---|---|---|
Auth Manager | The Auth Manager option is available only at the Project level. ReadyAPI displays the option at the API level, but disables it. Previous versions also supported Auth Manager at the API level. This creates a potential functional regression or discoverability issue for users who expect the option to be accessible within the API context as before. | Set authorization at the Project or Request level. ReadyAPI 4.1.0 will restore support for API-level authorization management. | 4.1.0 |
Auth Manager | Some Auth Manager remediation work remains in progress, including updates to Auth Repository configurations. | None. | 4.1.0, 4.2.0 |
OAuth 2.0 / Authorization - Get Access Token Configuration | At lower screen resolutions, the OAuth 2.0 Get Access Token configuration screen may not display key controls, including PKCE Enable, Code Challenge, Additional Parameters, and Get Access Token. This issue can prevent users from accessing required authentication settings. | This issue may not occur at 1920 × 1080 resolution. If you use a lower resolution, adjust the UI scaling to improve rendering. ReadyAPI 4.1.0 will resolve this issue. | 4.1.0 |
Load testing issues
This table lists known issues related to load testing workflows, metrics, and screens.
Topic | Issue | Remediation | Target release |
|---|---|---|---|
Load metrics chart visibility | The load metrics chart may disappear after a load test completes. Metric data remains available in the table view and the Statistics tab. | Ensure the load metrics chart remains visible after test execution. | 4.1.0 |
Load test creation from Workspace Navigator | Some configuration screens in the load test creation flow display spacing and alignment inconsistencies when you start the flow from the Workspace Navigator. The flow remains functional. | Improve spacing and alignment in templated configuration flows. | 4.1.0, 4.2.0 |
Load testing screens | Users may notice visual inconsistencies in some Load Testing screens, including Monitoring, Scheduler, columns, accessibility elements, and icons, while we continue background UI updates. | We continue to update Load Testing UI components, including Monitoring, Scheduler, columns, accessibility elements, and icons. | 4.1.0 |
User interface and accessibility issues
This table lists known issues related to UI accessibility and visual consistency.

Icons in various areas | Some icons appear inconsistently or only on hover in certain views, including Load Testing screens in Dark Mode. This behavior can reduce the visibility and discoverability of available actions. | Hover over the icons to display their labels and identify available actions. | Ongoing |
Scaling | ReadyAPI works best at a display resolution of 1920 × 1080 with 100% scaling. If you use a different resolution or OS scaling setting, adjust the UI scaling to improve readability and layout. | Use the | 4.1.0 |
Security testing screens and panels | Some Security Testing screens still contain UI issues as we complete the SmartBear design system updates. These issues do not affect functionality, but users may notice visual inconsistencies and pixelated icons. | Additional panel updates are in progress to improve visual consistency and usability. | 4.1.0 |
Spacing in request editors | The SmartBear design system increases spacing to improve accessibility and visibility. As a result, users familiar with the more compact interface in ReadyAPI 3.67.0 and earlier may notice reduced working space. Adjusting UI scaling can provide additional workspace. | We are reviewing additional spacing and padding improvements to provide more working space in future releases. | 4.1.0 |
Virtualization issues
This table lists known issues related to virtualization workflows and service management.
